This BSA Council has six districts, the Abnaki District, Casco Bay District, Downeast District, Kennebec Valley District (aka the K-Valley District), Snowshoe District and the York District.
The York District has 61 units, which serve over 1,725 boys and young men and has approximately 600 trained adult leaders. (Webmaster Note: I do not have statics on the other Districts. If you have any please send them in, thank you.)

This camp opened in 1945 and occupies 226 acres of land on Great Pond in the Belgrade Lakes area. The camp is named after a Native American Warrior who graced the area in years gone by. The waterfront offers swimming, boating, canoes, motor boating and water skiing (the motor boating equipment is not provided by camp). They offer tent camp sites, winter cabins, an activity field for atheletics and camporees, boats and/or canoes for overnight groups, a Cub Scout Day Camp program, a dining hall for summer camp, and extended Cub Scout camping. During the summer they offer three weeks of Boy Scout camp, two weeks of Webelos resident camp and two weeks of Cub Scout Day Camp. Plus they offer a COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) course.
In the summer of 1998, they started a Special NEW Sea Kayaking Program that offers exciting and educational adventures along the inner coastal regions of the Kennebec River in Maine. During these adventure, you'll learn and experience:

The camp opened in 1947 and occupies 125 acres of land on Loon Pond (under 10 acres). It has a dozen very rustic troop camp sites with latrines, and offers swimming, row boating, canoeing, an activity field and a open air shelter.

This camp opened in 1927 and occupies 230 acres of land on Panther Pond. It offers swimming, boating, canoeing, motor boating and water skiing (but motor boating equipment is not provided by the camp). They offer tent camp sites, Adirondack (lean-to) shelters, winter cabins, family camping, an activity field for atheletics and camporees, boats and or canoes for overnight groups, a Cub Scout Day Camp program, a dining hall for summer camp, and extended Cub Scout camping. Offers year-round camping and a great winter camping program for older boys (min. age 13 yrs) and explorers (coed ok). They offer five Okpik weekend trips for crews that you put together from your troop, post, town, district or Council and a week long Wintercamp experience. They offer seven weeks of Summer Camp in July and August and has two "Trail To Eagle" weeks.

This camp was acquired in 2002 and ocupies 65 acres of land. It has a 1500 foot waterfront with a 100 foot sandy beach with a dock on Maranacook Lake. It offer swimming, a sports field, a large main lodge with a deck and covered pavilion, a crafts shop, an aquatics building, unit and family camping. The Kennebec Valley District holds their Cub Scout Summer Day Camp and Boy Scout Junior Leader Training Program here.

The camp opened in 1935 and occupies 80 acres of land on Loon Pond (under 10 acres in size). They offer tent camp sites, winter cabins, and a Cub Scout Day Camp program. Last we heard it was under major remodeling including the removal of some of the buildings. New water and electrical lines are being installed. A parking lot is being prepared. The Kiwanis Lodge is getting new siding, windows, a metal roof, new electrical wiring, insulation, and kitchen facilities. All this work is being done by a small group of volunteers who could use your help. If you'd like to volunteer contact them for more details and to get an update on their progress.
