Boy Scout Camp Information

  The camp occupies 186 acres and is located on West Side Pond. The camp offers swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and small-boat sailing, tent campsites, Adirondack (lean-to) shelters and winter cabins for overnight use, an activity field for atheletics and camporess, boat and/or canoe rentals for overnight groups, a trading post, a dining hall during summer camp, a rifle range, a High Adventure Program for Boy Scouts (extended backpacking and/or canoe trips) and extended Webelos Cub Scout camping. They offer 5 weeks of Boy Scout summer camp during June and July.

  • Directions to Camp
    Take Route 8 North to Torrington, CT. Take Exit 44 onto Route 4 West to Goshen, CT. Follow Route 4 West for 6 miles to Goshen. At the intersection of Route 4 and Route 63 take a right onto Route 63 North. Westside Road is the first left after St. Thomas Church. Follow West Side Pond Road for approximately one mile. The camp's main entrance is on the right side of the road after the Camp Ranger's house.

• They offer Cub Scout Day Camp at different locations each year. Contact the Council office for more details.

Order of the Arrow Lodge Information

• Paugassett Lodge #553 - Section NE-2C

  This OA Lodge was founded in 1961. Their Lodge Totem is an Iroquois Indian Dance Mask and their Algonquin Lodge name translates to Muddy Pond.
