Hoge is a wilderness type camp. There are two latrines, no tent platforms or cabins. There are several "marked" sites as the Scout Units in the Mount Monadnock District use this site often for Camp-o-rees and training. By making and confirming a reservation you will be notified about fire permits, and how to make sure there is water available. There is a pump in an old hunting cabin that fills a holding tank from the well. The cabin is not in the best of shape and is not generally used for shelter. Exact fees are not known, but they are quite minimal. It is a very beautiful campsite. It is generally closed during hunting season, and may be difficult to access during mud season, except by four wheel drive. It is also a prime location for winter camping with access from the main road being about a mile walk in, when access from the Eaton Rd. is impassable.

Camp Carpenter is a 225 acre camp that was established in 1936. It surrounds Long Pond, which is used for swimming, boating, canoeing and the pond is stocked with Bass for great fishing. They offer tent campsites, Adirondacks (lean-to) and winter cabins for overnights. They also have atheletic fields (baseball and soccer), an archery range, a BB gun shooting range and a dining hall for summer camp. They have a Cub Scout program theme area called the "Pirates Cove". This new addition consists of a 4 story tower, a crafts pavilion, the "catwalk" and a "beached" Pirate Ship. Cubs Scouts will love being swashbuckling pirates this summer!!! During the summer they have four weeks of Cub Scout day camp and eight weeks of Cub Scout and Webelos Scout over night resident camp. On three weekends in the summer they offer a camping program for Cub Scouts and their families. They also rent camp sites and cabins during the off-season to Cub Scout and Boy Scout Units. An additional Per-Person Fee is added to the Camp Site and or Cabin rentals. They recently added a BMX Bike Trail around the Pond for Webelos II Cub Scouts. As not to leave any Cub out they also started instruction on bike safety for the younger Cubs and then they get to run a cones course in the safety of the parking lot. Webelos Woods has a ropes course and Tomahawk throwing. These two High Adventure activities have become the hands down winners with the Webelos each summer. It has a beautiful, full size, log, post-and-beam construction, Calvary Fort named "Fort Friendship", that Cub Scouts can sleep in during the resident summer camp program.
Camp Carpenter is also the home of the Lawrence L. Lee Scouting Museum and Max I. Silber Scouting Library which is an exciting, unique, and colorful repository for an exceedingly large collection of Boy Scout Memorabilia and an exceptional Scouting reference library. Be sure to set aside a few hours to visit the museum and library when you go there, and bring some extra money along, so you can buy some of the great hard-to-find items you'll find for sold in their museum gift shop.
