This Scout Reservation is home to three Boy Scout camps, Camp Woronoak, Camp Frontier and Camp Knox. It consists of over 1600 wooded acres and 90 acre Russell Pond, (once known as Woronoco). They have a Ham Radio Shack, a dining hall and a trading post that is open for summer campers. Their three camp's waterfronts offer swimming, rowing, sail boats, kayaks, and canoes. They offer a rifle range, a shotgun range, an archery range and field archery, a C.O.P.E. (Challenging Outdoor Physical Experience) course, a climbing wall and rock climbing. They also have what may be the only Blacksmithing Shop in a New England Scout Reservation. The Blacksmithing Shop is open to troops year-round. Blacksmith Training is available to unit leaders every Monday evening during summer camp. They offer four weeks of regular Boy Scout summer camp, and three special summer camp weeks called "Base Camp Eagle" and "Base Camp Adventure", and "Powder Keg" (which is a week long National Youth Leadership Training).
General Henry Knox stopped here with his troops back in the winter of 1775-76, leading ox-drawn wagons loaded with artillery on the way to meet General George Washington in Cambridge to help drive the British army out of Boston. Because of this history, all the camps here have a Revolutionary War theme, with campsite names like "Saratoga," "Nathan Hale," "Bunker Hill" and "Ethan Allen."
